CS2 Map Pool: Current Active Duty Maps and Every Change

What Active Duty means
Active Duty is Valve's list of seven competitive maps. It defines which maps are available in Premier matchmaking and which maps tournaments use for the map veto. The pool always has seven maps, so a new map always pushes another one out.
Maps that leave the pool are still in the game. They just stop appearing in Premier and pro matches.

Valve has tended to change the pool after Majors or at the start of a new Premier season, one map at a time. The latest change was announced like this:
Season Four of Premier ends on July 6th. You must have 25 Season Four Premier wins and a visible CSR when the Season concludes to earn your Premier Season Four medal. For the Season Five Active Duty map pool: - Overpass + Cache
Why the pool matters for pro matches
Teams cannot be equally strong on seven maps. Most top teams have three or four maps they are confident on and one they always ban. When the pool changes, teams that relied on the removed map have to learn a new one, and results can shift for a few months. Cache's arrival in July 2026 is a good example: teams that had mastered Overpass lost a comfort pick.
Maps no longer in Active Duty
They remain playable in casual modes and community servers.
