Overpass in CS2: Removed From the Map Pool

Overpass at a glance

Why it was removed

Season Four of Premier ends on July 6th. You must have 25 Season Four Premier wins and a visible CSR when the Season concludes to earn your Premier Season Four medal. For the Season Five Active Duty map pool: - Overpass + Cache

Valve usually swaps one map at a time to keep the pool fresh. Overpass had a short second stint of about a year before Cache, a remake that fans had wanted back for years, took its slot. Overpass was also the largest map in the pool and one of the least picked in pro play, which made it a natural candidate.

What Overpass was known for

Overpass is a large map with long rotations, built around a canal, a park and a toilet building near A. It was known as a CT-sided map: defenders could hold the two sites well, and the T side needed coordinated attacks through Connector, Long A or Monster toward B.

Could it come back?

Overpass has already left and returned once, so a comeback is possible. If it happens, this page will become a full guide again. Until then, the current maps are listed in the CS2 Map Pool guide, and its replacement has its own page: Cache.
