Support

What a support does:
- Throws utility. Smokes, flashes and molotovs for the entry during an execute, or to stop a push on the CT side. See utility.
- Trades. Stays close behind the first player so that every death can be traded.
- Drops weapons. Often buys or saves weapons for the team's stars.
Supports rarely top the kill table. Their value shows in flash assists, KAST and in how well the players around them do.
Many in-game leaders (IGL) also play a support role, because calling the strategy leaves less room for hunting kills.
