Utility

| Grenade | What it does | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Smoke | blocks vision with a cloud of smoke | $300 |
| Flashbang | blinds players who look at it | $200 |
| Molotov / incendiary | sets an area on fire, forcing players out | $400 / $500 |
| HE grenade | explodes and deals damage | $300 |
| Decoy | makes fake gunfire sounds | $50 |
In competitive play each player can carry up to four grenades, with no more than two flashbangs.
Why it matters: a team that uses grenades well takes bombsites with fewer losses and defends them longer. A planned attack with grenades is an execute. Players who throw most of the team's grenades often play a support role.
Utility also costs money: about $1,100 to $1,300 per player for a full set, which is part of a full buy.
