Molotov (incendiary)

| Side | Price | |
|---|---|---|
| Molotov | T | $400 |
| Incendiary | CT | $500 |
Both work the same way. Players often call both a "molly".
How teams use fire:
- To clear corners. A molotov forces a defender out of a hiding spot during an execute.
- To stop a push. CTs throw incendiaries into chokepoints to delay a rush.
- To stop a defuse. After planting, Ts throw a molotov on the bomb so the CTs cannot defuse until the fire ends.
Counter: a smoke thrown onto fire puts it out straight away. That is why CTs often answer a post-plant molotov with a smoke.
Fire is part of a team's utility, and a set of grenades is part of a full buy.
