ADR (average damage per round)

ADR (average damage per round)

Every player has 100 health, so an ADR of 100 means a player deals, on average, the equivalent of one full kill's worth of damage every round. In pro CS2, an ADR above 80 is solid and above 90 is excellent for most roles.

Why ADR matters: kills alone can hide a lot. A player who deals 90 damage and lets a teammate finish the kill gets no kill, but the damage still won the fight. ADR captures that. It is also less random than kills over a single map.

ADR depends on the role. Entry players and stars usually have high ADR. Support players who throw grenades for others often have lower ADR but are just as important. That is why ADR is usually read together with KAST.
