Spike

Spike times
| Action | Time |
|---|---|
| Plant | about 4 seconds |
| Detonation | 45 seconds after the plant |
| Defuse | 7 seconds |
| Defuse checkpoint | progress is saved at the halfway mark |
The checkpoint is a key rule: a Defender who reaches half of the defuse keeps that progress even if they stop. The next attempt only needs the second half. Players often "tap" the Spike to the halfway mark, then fight, then finish the defuse.
Winning with the Spike
- Attackers win when the Spike detonates, even if all of them are dead.
- Defenders win by defusing it, or by stopping the plant until the round timer runs out.
Planting also gives each Attacker 300 credits, even if they lose the round.
After the plant comes the post-plant, where Attackers protect the Spike and Defenders try a retake.
