KAST in Valorant

How KAST is calculated
A round counts if the player got a kill, an assist (including assists from abilities), survived, or was traded: killed, but a teammate immediately killed the enemy who did it.
Example: a map ends 13-9, so 22 rounds. A player was useful in 16 of them: a KAST of about 73%.
What is a good KAST?
| KAST | What it means in pro Valorant |
|---|---|
| 80% or more | excellent |
| 75% to 79% | strong |
| 70% to 74% | about average |
| under 65% | the player often died without helping |
Why KAST matters in Valorant
Valorant has many support roles. Controllers and Initiators get assists from smokes, flashes and recon, so KAST often shows what they bring more clearly than ACS does.
