Save

Example: two CTs are left against four Ts, and the bomb is already planted. Instead of a hopeless retake, they hide and save their rifles. Next round they do not need to spend $3,000 or more on new weapons.
Why it matters: rifles, armor and especially the AWP are expensive. A saved weapon can be the difference between a full buy and an eco next round.
The other side: the team that wins the round wants to hunt down saving players, because every weapon they take away hurts the enemy economy. And saving means accepting the loss, so teams choose carefully.
Save is different from an eco: an eco is planned at the start of a round, a save happens during a round that is already going badly.
