AWPer

Almost every pro team has one main AWPer. They usually:
- hold long sightlines on the CT side to stop pushes early;
- take an opening pick on the T side to start the round five against four;
- get the most kills from a single weapon on the team.
The cost. The AWP costs $4,750, more than any rifle, and pays only $100 per kill instead of $300. Losing it is expensive, so teams often protect their AWPer and save the weapon when a round is lost. On low-money rounds the AWPer may have to play with a rifle or a pistol.
Some teams split the AWP between two players depending on the map or side.
